You are NOT Stuck.

Sometimes life doesn't make sense. We wonder "what am I here for?" "Will life ever be without struggle?" "Why do I feel stuck in my present circumstance?" "Will I ever just have moments when I can honestly say...all is well?" Jeremiah 29:11 is the greatest gift for the worried soul.

It states, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

There are four promises found in this passage of scripture:

  1. God promises that you will Prosper.

- The word prosper in the Hebrew text literally means “to push forward; to pass through; to get on.” It carries the idea of thriving and succeeding in what you do. God promises that if you follow his plan that he has prepared for you, you will succeed, thrive, grow and increase. Your current situation is only temporal... God's plan promises you success.

2. God promises that you will not be harmed.

- God's plan for you will not destroy your life. If you feel like you are sinking and there is no lifeline available, here is a promise that what seems as if it will take you out, will only make you stronger.

3. God promises to give Hope.

- When we find ourselves in distress, sometimes just a sign of a light at the end of tunnel will encourage us to keep going. God's word is that light. Every promises that God gives us is sure, confirmed, established, and guaranteed. If God said it, we can believe it and that gives us hope that goodness will come.

4. God promises to give you a Future.

- Some translations call this an "Expected end." You can raise your level of expectation with God's plan for your life. Because of many trials and struggles, sometime we live as if, this will be all there is to our live. But because of the promise of God, we can expect a future filled with goodness.

From the foundation of the world, God had a purpose for our lives. God's purpose will always prosper us into His divine and perfect will. Yes, it will come with struggle, challenge and difficulties and your eyes will see its share of tears but its in those moments that we can see the magnificent, mind blowing power of our creator. Because we have the promises of God to rely on, we are never stuck in our circumstance. God's word always gives us a way of escape. Your situation will try and make you believe that there is no hope beyond your present situation, but Jeremiah 29:11, breaks through the walls of your dilemma and gives you a bridge to cross over into a life of expectation and hope. Tell your situation ... "I am not stuck. God's word has given me full access to life and that more abundantly."
